Syrian Refugee Crisis Research Paper

Imagine this, you and your family have barely survived the civil war in syria and are trying to get to any place that is safer than here. This is a reality for many families living in syria they never wanted to leave their home but now they have to to protect their families. It all started when the syrian people were protesting “after the arrest and torture of some teenagers who painted revolutionary slogans on a school wall”(BBC). The government tried to stop this with force but that just lead to more syrians protesting. This “Violence escalated and the country descended into civil war as rebel brigades were formed to battle government forces for control of cities, towns and the countryside”(BBC). It was now a civil war over who controls the country : the government or the people. This is why the Syrian refugee crisis is a problem and should not be ignored because they are being forced out of their country and having war crimes used on them and it is not just affecting syria but also all the countries that are taking in refugees. …show more content…
