The Syrian civil war is a war between Ba’ath government and the forces who want to remove the government. This has led to peoples’ homes being destroyed and them not knowing what to do, and people calling them Syrian refugees. Around 11 million Syrians have fled their homes due to the civil war, which started in March of 2011, the same time the Syrian civil war started. It has been six years since the war, now 13.5 million refugees are in need of humanitarian assistance. Many refugees have nowhere to go. That is why America should accept Syrian refugees because of diversity, business, and the economy. They also states that North Atlantic will welcome people of all backgrounds in hopes of being more diverse. The ability to respect other peoples’ religion, background, and culture is a very important skill the world should be able to learn, it’s also a vital skill this globalized world should know (Huffington Post). Not to mention the amount of help businesses would get from Syrians and also it would be beneficial in other ways as well. Furthermore, Huffpost writes “Canada’s open approach to immigration and its willingness to welcome tens of thousands of Syrian refugees id and ‘enlightened’ move that will benefit the country’s business sector” If refugees would help the business in Canada, then they would most likely help the business in America too.
