The way your parents raise you can gratefully affect your perspective of your culture; It affect you because they raise you making you have an aspect in life . They have a huge influence on your religion, traditions, morals and many other aspects of your culture . For example In the story "Two Kinds", Jing-mei's mother would make her take piano lessons because she wanted her to be a protege even though she disliked taking the piano lessons. Her mother affected her culture by making her do piano lessons, even though she doesn't like doing it she continues doing it for the reason of her thinking it's the right thing to do since her mother says so.
