The article, Climate Change Denial Books and Conservative Think Tanks, written by Dunlap and Jacques, discusses how conservative speakers often use less credited and evaluated climate change denial books. The article also examines how these books offer a sense of legitimacy to authors and how they often, “come to be viewed as “climate experts,” regardless of their academic back-grounds or scientific credentials” (Dunlap and Jacques 701). The article’s case that anti-climate change activists often base their arguments on clearly unfounded literature lines up with my beliefs as well. I believe that lack of information is just as detrimental to the cause of climate change. Despite how many times these denial books are debunked by empirical tests they are repeatedly recycled by the conservative agenda. This is what Dunlap and Jacques refer to as “zombie arguments”.
