Islam: A synthesis of Christianity and Judaism

Introduction:

Synthesis means a combination of any peculiar things having an independent importance and "Islam proclaims a practical synthesis of Judaism and Christianity as Islam is the authentic religion of Adam, of Abraham, and of human nature." (www.msgr.ca). "According to the Muslim faith,to be human means to be Muslim; every person is born a Muslim, and distortions of one's environment lead a person astray to become a Christian, a Jew, or an unbeliever."(www.msgr.ca). Islam is a balance between the two religions as Christianity is based on the Old Testament and Judaism on the New Testament. Muslims believe the New Testament

Islam is based on the word of God sent to Prophet Muhammed because although there are similarities between them; Christianity and Judaism were being changed over time and based on commentary rather than the word of God. "Regardless of whether Christianity was created by God as Christians beliefs focused on cleansing the Jewish religion of stiff ritualism and rigid leadership, which resulted from the orthodox community’s efforts to preserve Judaism in the face of Roman oppression." Daily prayers is also considered to be the priority list as it is believed that God is watching us every single moment. Jews also pray every day but three times and Muslims are called to prayers for five times each day, and on Friday it is preferred that the noon prayer be said in a mosque.MChristians pray on Sunday whereas Jews worship on Saturday which is their holy day. Also, Pilgrimage to the Hajj at least once in life is considered to be the best way of bowing toward the God for his grant of our precious lives. As it is said "The more You Give the more you get"; giving to charity is also an important way of worshipping God which is an amazing way or earring peace in the soul of a body; the belief that's also followed by lots of Hindus. Also,fasting during Ramadan for a month is believed to be the proof of clear reflection and self-discipline towards the devotion of God. All of this originated from Prophet Abraham who is the first prophet in all religions. Old Testament is the Torah which was sent via Moses. Jews don't recognize prophet Muhammed though Muslims believe in all prophets of the Bible. The Quran itself mentions the Torah and the Gospel as scriptures revealed by God to Moses and Jesus.
