Synthesis Essay: UIL Hands Down Punishment On Football Players

John Jay Assault on Referee The news story of two football players tackling a referee during a game has gone viral. At John Jay High School in San Antonio, Texas, two of the football players have been suspended for tackling a referee during a game against Marble Falls. Punishment for the boys is up in the air still as that assistant coach, Mack Breed, has admitted to telling the players to hit the referee. He stated “This guy needs to pay for cheating us” to a few of the players moments before the incident occurred (Villafranca).
