Children are targeted by marketers constantly as they are a key factor in persuading consumers such as their own parents. The goods that are being discussed in these types of advertisements could have either a beneficial or negative effect on the child's well-being in the near future. These influences brought by advertisements need to be constricted to ethics because they can easily manipulate children and can be used to promote unhealthy products. Since children's brains are not matured enough to understand the goal of marketers, which is to sell as much of their products no matter the effect on the consumer. So, while children brains have not matured they should only be exposed to advertisements that promote a healthier lifestyle since these messages will stick with them possibly into adulthood. So, the idea of "creating a food marketing environment that supports, rather than undermines the efforts of parents to encourage healthy eating amongst children will have a significant impact on reducing the nation's childhood obesity epidemic" (Source E). If we consider implementing an idea such as the one from the Federal Trade Commission, we can prevent millions of children from having complications in the future with their health which would hopefully solve the obese epidemic we currently have with children and young adults. Furthermore, if advertisers marketed ethically they would be pushing healthy products toward children so that these healthy habits when started at young it may evolve with the child as they grow up. Subsequently, if the marketer is just greedy and does not follow ethics and care for the well-being of the consumer they would push their unhealthy product no matter the negative effect on the user in the future which would further cause health complication with millions of people in the
