People with different degree of morals show different behaviors after they attain power. Socialized power, personalized power, and physical power; there are different kinds of power, and they are just one of the another ability that a person can have (Source E). For example, teachers have greater physical and intellectual power over their students and have the ability to use it over their students. Given the title as teacher, most of them do not use it to torture students for their mistakes, but try to help out students with their power. In contrast, while some are aware that they should use power to benefit others, some people use power to solely benefit themselves. Some people overcome the temptations that power brings; they do not misuse it, but rather control it and use it wisely (Source A, C). In contrast, people who fails to control power induce power to show its corrupted nature. In Macbeth, the brave Scottish general Macbeth becomes manipulated by his duplicitous wife, Lady Macbeth, and murder Kind Duncan. To further reveal his loss of control over power, Macbeth tries to kill not only his potential rivals, but also his rival’s wife and even children. He fails to manage his power and losses his conscience. Power is tempting, but it does not corrupt people.
