Marijuana is a very controversial topic and there seems to be many different opinions and studies out there on it. Weather if its bad or not but the real question is how it's affecting our bodies overall. Many claim its not affecting our health and isn't harmful to us but indeed it is. It has so many negative effects that many are oblivious too and don't see the real issue. It's not only harmful to the smoker but exposes them to the drug society. Marijuana is harmful to the heart and the brain, but people continue to justify the use for it. The heart is one of the main body organs and is one of the most important throughout the body. Thanks to the heart, it's the reason were breathing everyday and any damage to the heart could be a very serious issue and could affect our bodies. Marijuana has negative effects on the cardiovascular system, which affects the heart. For example in source 1 it states,” Marijuana reacts quickly in the body. The government has even legalized marijuana and many people trust the government , which only promotes use of it. For example in source 1 it states ,” The iom report , Marijuana and medicine: Assessing the Science Base , released in March 1999 found that marijuanas components are potentially effective in treating pain , nausea and vomiting , Aids-related loss of appetite, and other symptoms should be tested rigorously in clinical trials.” Doctors have found that in some causes marijuana is very useful and therapeutic to certain diseases and symptoms. According to source 1, it states that , “Marijuana does have medical value , but its therapeutic components must be incorporated into conventional therapy to be truly safe and useful.” Marijuana is still very dangerous but if used for the right things it can be safe, effective and cure some
