Attending college has always been a heated debate. $20,000 here, $3,000 there. Is college really worth all that money? Are there better job possibilities when getting a college degree? It may be true that not all traditional colleges fit every student and opting for a trade school to have a career as a technician, hairdresser, or makeup artist could be more beneficial. But if someone is settling on going to a trade school because of the money issue, it all does not matter. ¨48% say that paying off that debt made it harder to pay other bills,¨ (Source F). The fact is, years after college, many who have a high paying career are still paying off loans. While people who did not attend college do not have any loans to pay off. It all balances out in the end. Moreover, the tuition and demographics are a major factor when deciding to attend college. The anti-college argument is that college is just too expensive. What many do not know is that there are three main factors where costs aren´t normally a problem to those who graduate. The first is financial aid. ¨Average net tuition and fees at public four-year colleges this past year were only about $2,000,¨ (Source D). The second …show more content…
