Animal testing has been used for centuries to provide trial runs for medication and procedures. Cosmetic companies have also started to use animals to test their products. This has brought a lot of backlash onto the topic animal testing. However, what they seem to forget is the fact that animal testing in the advancement in human health. Therefore, animal testing should be continued.

Firstly, the usage of animal testing has led to many useful medications. This is showed quite well in Source A, a timeline of many medical accomplishments achieved through animal testing. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for medical animal testing. In order to maintain progress; there must be sacrifice. The usage of animal testing has spurred many medical procedures.

With regards to medical procedures, animal testing has resulted in major ones. Operations like blood transfusions, kidney dialysis, the use of the heart-lung machine, replacement heart valves, coronary bypass operations, heart transplants, and CT scanning resulted from animal testing and have brought new life to the inner organs. Plus, corneal transplants and hip replacement surgeries give new hope to the elderly, or anyone who needs them.

In conclusion, animal testing should be continued. The practice has brought a medical revolution upon the world, and even aids the cosmetic industry (if used properly).
