Abortion is a huge issue in our society today. It is one of the most controversial topic being debated today. Abortion is a very profitable industry. To sum up all of the ways abortion can be defined, it is a method of stopping a pregnancy. To some people, abortion is evil and against their religion. To others, abortion is the mother’s choice. After being informed the reality of abortion and how brutal it can be, I have made my own opinions on the topic and how it should be addressed. There are types of abortion that, in my mind, would be considered murder. The issue wasn’t addressed by law in the US until 1873, when the Comstock law permitted the postal service to open mail dealing with abortion or contraception. This was to extinguish the circulation of “profane” materials. The issue has been becoming more accustomed with our society every year and debates have been increasing over the issue.
