• After the short discussion I will introduce the novel, Story Thieves with a brief summary.
• Once I have given the summary I would hand out a copy of the book to each student.
• When everyone had a copy of the book I would have the students read the first chapter with assistance when needed. I would give the students about 15 minutes.
• After they have read the first chapter I will ask that students a couple questions for about 5-10 minutes. When the student are answering these question I would make sure I would explain exactly what made the author effective. o Some of the question I would ask are:
How does the author introduce the characters?
Which character do you think is the main character, and how do you know?
How did the author introduce the setting of the book?
What is something you can take away from the author’s style of
