Insomnia Sleep is one of most important things a human needs.Sleep helps a persons body by relaxing and rejuvenating it. Without sleep a person experiences fatigue and depression. They also become forgetful, and it impairs their decision making. There are so many factors that can alter ones sleep and one of them is insomnia. Insomnia is a mental disorder that stops one from staying asleep or getting quality restorative sleep. About 40% of american adults suffer from Intermittent Insomnia and about 10-15% of them suffer from Chronic Insomnia. (Ramirez 2007 s.4) Insomnia can effect ones life because without restorative sleep they can’t focus during the day and they become irritable. Some causes of insomnia are stress, nervousness, anxiousness and physical or health discomfort. (National Sleep Foundation pg.2) But, their happens to be natural remedies and treatments that can one use to gain restorative sleep at night. …show more content…
If a person suffers from this type of insomnia it happens every other week or every other month. Chronic Insomnia is the most severe case of insomnia because it occurs almost everyday for over month. (Ramirez 2007
