A person with GAD will have the inability to relax and may become indecisive. This must happen most days in a 6-month time frame to be diagnosed with GAD. Symptoms of GAD include but are not limited to the following: a person being edgy or restless, becoming tired quickly, lack of concentration, headaches or migraines, muscle stiffness and pain, sleep difficulties including falling asleep or staying asleep, irregular bowels, nausea, sadness (depression) and having shortness of breath (panic attack). A panic attack is when a person is completely overwhelmed with anxiety and fear causing the heart to pound and they may not be able to breathe. Daniel K.
