One of them is known as Prostate Cancer, which is located in the prostate and is a small walnut-shape that produces seminal fluid that nourishes and transports sperm according to Fig.1 (Mayo Foundation,2015). In order to have these exams done you have to be at the age of 40 and have a strong family history of prostate cancer (Prostate Cancer Foundation, 2014). In other cases if you are an African American Male, you are at high risk for positive and start at the age of 38 for early detection (Prostate Cancer Foundation, 2014). PSA screening is basically a blood test and DRE screening is a skinny camera tube inserted into your anal (Prostate Cancer Foundation, 2014). For doctors to know if you have prostate cancer they do a three to five day evaluation with multiple types of diagnostic processes (Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 2015). They include Biopsy, Bone scan, CT/PET scan, Genetic tests, Lab tests, MRI’s, ProstaScint scan, and Ultrasound (Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 2015). These are the advanced imaging and laboratory tests being done (Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 2015). The current care give for those with prostate cancer is counseling, Financial Assistance, Support groups that can be done face to face or online, and community programs (Cancer, 2015). They have various treatments for prostate cancer now which those include Hormone therapy, Chemotherapy, Biologic therapy, External-beam radiation therapy, Prostatectomy, Alpha emitter radiation therapy, Immunotherapy, and Targeted Therapy Drugs (National Cancer Institute, 2013 ).
