Severe problems and syndromes that may accompany ASD includes mental retardation, seizures, and tuberous sclerosis sensory problems. He has to get up and move around. I notice with him someone has to always be sitting next to him and watch him very closely. He would randomly walk around and eats on plastic. When he is told to spit it out, he hides the object under his tongue. He constantly stores things in his mouth. When it comes to his taste buds he doesn’t like sour or bitter things. Day by day his behavior is getting worse as to where he hits the teacher and students for no reason. He doesn 't listen when you tell him to sit down. He would open the classroom door and run out, we would have to chase him. To deal with his behavior, the teacher used a timer and a log to track his behavior. When he is misbehaving and it 's time for IPad, we would tell him once he sits for 5 minutes he can get the IPad.
