Checklists are a useful tool when it comes to assessing personality. A checklist can be something as simple as consistently using the same steps when conducting a test for personality. Another checklist, such as the Symptom Checklist 90 (SCL- 90- R) is a beneficial way to evaluate objectively via a symptom assessment, which has 90 items and can be completed in 12-15 minutes (Pearson Clinical, 2017).
