The most famous album with mostly classical music in their pieces is The Odyssey with their interpretation of Homer’s poem The Odyssey in the twenty-four minute long song “The Odyssey.” Additionally, Symphony X’s top album, according to an interview with bass player Michael LePond, would be Underworld with their hit single, “Without You.” Michael responds, “We never really had a big hit album and song, but we think that our latest release (Underworld) and our single (“Without You”) will rise to that level,” (M. LePond, personal interview, October 12, 2015). “Without You” is a ballad of the album Underworld that was released as a single before the album was released in July. Additionally, the “Angry Metal Guy” states in a review about Underworld, “If album rock was the goal, then Underworld is a qualified success: it bursts out the gate with an epic overture, which segues into the the crushing opener “Nevermore,” and the title track; both are excellent progressive compositions with the speed and edge to them.
