Symphony By Clean Bandit Analysis

Decent Essays
In the song Symphony by clean Bandit, it’s all about losing someone who is important and the person doesn’t know how to handle it and how the happy memories keep on coming and that person doesn’t know how to feel. Also that person wanted to feel closer to the person who just died but the song doesn’t really have much great depth. “Symphony” may be a song of depression but the song gave courage to that person to move on with his life although that person lost someone who is dearly and will never be forgotten.
The sentence “and every melody is timeless” is they both make beautiful music together and she’s enjoying time with him. Another line is “life was stringing me along” She didn’t know what to do with her life so she just flowed with it.

As part of my second paper assignment of recreating the image I analyzed in Paper One, I decided to venture down to Deep Ellum with a few friends. Not only did we stop at Braindead Brewing for a quick bite to eat, but we also explored the streets. The area is so fascinating and reminds me much of downtown Kansas City. The tiny streets juxtaposed with the bustling city and the old, rustic brick buildings makes me feel as though this area is best fit for recreating Jacob Riis’ “Bandit’s Roost.” One of the main points that I concluded and took from “Bandit’s Roost” was that Riis was attempting to evoke a scene similar to the entrance of Hell.…

When Roland Barthes casts his bone into the Rue Servadoni, he is performing the symbolic act of act of letting go. When Boltanski builds shrines to his past self, he too is trying to cast something away from himself, in a process of mourning and of consolidating. Whether we feel the need to dispose of them or hold on to them, there is no denying the ceremony around these objects- the agency they hold and importance they play for us. Our urge to collect, forever juxtaposed with our urge to be free of objects which cast their agency over us. There is always a tension between keeping and letting go, between presence and absence; perhaps collecting is a metaphor for this.…

She Walks In Beauty Laced with endless compliments and adoration, Lord Byron’s poem “She Walks in Beauty” tells the story of a man admiring a woman’s beauty. While the speaker does not claim that he is in love with the nameless woman, it is evident that he is attracted to her – based on the detail in which he describes her physical beauty. The “cloudless…starry skies” and “tender light” accompanied by the undulating iambic tetrameter sets the perfect, romantic mood for the speaker to express his infatuation (2, 5). The meter indicates the innocence of his attraction and a parallel to the subject of his attraction.…
