In the wild story of the Lord of Flies they used many ideas of symbols to show what they were saying. It helped a lot to influence the story showing and helping them portrait the story. Like in this story they used many different symbols to use on the island to show the readers how they felt and what they were really going through and telling about the island. They use symbols all from about the island all the way to actual adults in life to represent something big in the story. In the story Lord of Flies by William Golding they use symbols in order to prove how the symbols in the story show lots of meaning and tell the reader a lot about the story such as fire, the lord of flies, and the conch.
The fire in the story represents hope of being saved off the island. But it also shows how that it is what holds their civilization together and brings them hope of going home. It is significant because how much they truly need the fire it's not just what they use it for but that it signifies getting their life back. It represents the evilness within every person especially when there is no society to make sure of it. It is significant because in life people act normal and the way they should be. But as soon as you take the rules away and get left alone the pure evilness in you comes out. It changes by the beast just being their imagination and something they're scared of it, to something showing us the true people's ways in life without rules. Simon realized this and that is why he tried to go and tell everyone. Even though they changed the way they felt about the beast Golding was still showing us the Devil in a form.
