As the audience, we feel empowered for everything she’s done for Nasa but we also feel curious about what will happen to Katherine in the future. This theme reinforces the messages about how important acceptance in society, but also representing how as a society we are slow to accept without realizing without accepting Katherine into their world they’d never be able to complete their job.
