Axe, the male body fragrance line/male hygiene products have a negative outlook on women by objectifying them and making women out to be weak in the presence of a male wearing this scent. The common theme throughout their commercials is that beautiful women will be instantly attracted to you and want to flirt with you. Axe has a lot of commercials where the theme is centered around objectifying women as a sexual goal. Axe - Clean Your Balls is an infomercial about women cleaning sports balls for men. It is heavily implied that men should maintain their hygiene for a womans sexual approval. Axe is known for the objectifying, inappropriate and stereotyping commercials. Axe goes for the “manly” and inappropriate viewpoint, on the contrary, Dove makes their men 's commercials intimate and what appears to be men that are gentle and kind. Both companies product commercials put men in a light on how their appearance should be or how they should act. For example, in Dove mens commercials they display a father and their kids bonding therefore making an emotional connection to fathers and men as a whole; Dove’s definition of manly is to be caring. Doves ads move away from the stereotypical way of advertising qualities that make men question their masculinity. Dove Men is making good use of the uprising demand of men 's beauty products, and appealing to men 's nurturing sides. Throughout Doves commercials, it aims to protect men 's gentle sides instead of bashing them or showing ways how to better become a man. Lasty, the commercials that Dove displays has no indications of women being objectified, unlike Axe. Obviously Dove could make improvements on their commercial but overall it is a successful way to grab attention and
