Oscar Woa died because his grandfather made a tragic mistake that ended in death. Abelard fell in love with the woman that he married. They had 3 daughters; all of which needed to be protected. Abelard went against the evil dictator of the Dominican Republic by hiding his beautiful daughters. The fuku started once Trujillo realized what was happening. The curse is making all the women in the family gorgeous and easily get me, but the kind of men that migrate to them is men very similar to Trujillo. She is very similar to the mongoose that way. She is a magical lady that protects Belicia when she is getting beat. The mongoose does the same thing. La Inca is manipulated by the mongoose to protect everyone in the family. The mongoose has given Belicia a warm and loving home with a mother that is just as warm and loving. Because La Inca never had a man in her life Belicia has grown up in a life knowing that life without a man can be done. I believe that the mongoose is the spirit of Abelard and he is raising his daughter through someone else. La Inca has raised her in a way that would reject the idea of men supporting her. Even though Belicia did find some men that she thought she loved they turned out to be terrible examples of men. Because of the fatherless life Belicia did not stress that to her future husband. Oscar growing up without a father figure was probably the worst part of his unmanliness. He never had a figure to look up to and with his mother, he wanted to be the opposite of her life. So La Inca started the fatherless tradition. She has a part in why Oscar died. She created a issue that spreads over generations even though she had the best of intentions for her
