1. This painting includes a man and a woman kissing by a window. The couple is standing near an open window with four openings and light curtains. Looking out of the window there are 3 human-like figures and a tall, dark, green tree. There is also a building with multiple windows, some windows are dark and some have light coming out of them.
2. You can tell that the couple is kissing though, neither of their faces have any facial features on them. Them kissing, represents an act of love that signifies passion and sexual desire. Both the man and the woman’s face are blended together, making it look as if they share faces. I think that their faces are combined because it symbolizes their unity as a couple. Also, that nothing can tear apart

In this piece the color stands out to me the most. Compared to “The Kiss III, 1896” it is much more colorful, compared to just plain black and white. The colors he chose to use set a completely different mood. He primarily chose to incorporate blues, and greens. The blue and the green undertones he uses are calm and soothing yet, still draw much attention because of the way he uses different shades of each color. He also chose to paint the couples clothing a much darker, almost black color, which makes them stand out against the warm and cool tones he uses with the blues and greens. His choice of color stood out to me because it is not just simply black and white which lets out a much darker vibe. Although Much did not choose to concentrate on adding colors such as red which tend to proclaim love, passion and desire. His choice of colors are still colors bring out a romantic mood and peaceful mood. The colors he includes in the painting are still not vibrant and flashy yet he still finds a way to make the blue and green undertones stand out in a way that is eye-catching. The fact that he was not so obvious with using a red color scheme for this painting make it much more significant because in a way he is redefining the blue and green color he chose to use by allowing them to be subtler and simple versus loud and …show more content…
I do believe in the message encoded in this work, I agree that being with someone can be a very beautiful thing yet it can also be the most dangerous thing to pour out all of your emotions and allow yourself to be in such a vulnerable state. However, the overall message is a positive and a beautiful one. My gut reaction was that this piece reminded me of me and my own relationship with my boyfriend. We don’t stand by windows and make out, but it somehow reminded me of us just because of the fact that you can tell they are in love by looking at them and I also like to think that people can tell that we are in love by just looking at us. My reaction is sustained, every time I look at it, I am able to feel the same way I did as my first

To start, the vivid colors are what draws people’s attention at first. The paintings colors give off an energetic and joyful feel. The rich colors the artist uses helps set up the mood and tone of the oil painting. The mood is energetic and fun ,while the colors compliment and help set the uplifting and somewhat care free tone of the piece. During this time, African Americans…

    Klimt The Kiss Analysis

The first piece that I’m going to discuss is “The kiss” by Klimt. I’m so moved by this painting not for the depiction itself but for the technique and time that he used. This is perhaps Klimt's most popular and notorious artwork of sexual love. The kiss is a very dynamic and distinctive piece in that you can clearly tell that the man and woman are in some form of love (or maybe they are just friends). The man that alone makes the piece is holding the woman so closely and lovingly.…

Color: The painting has a combination of complimentary colors that give the piece a warm look. For instance, the yellow and orange provides light to the composition and also add a visual depth to it because both colors reflect the scheme of a peaceful night. In addition, the blue in the sky beautifully portrays harmony throughout the painting, and the black in the background perfectly contrasts with the blue in the sky and the circled white brush strokes…

The Burchfield Penney Art Center has a variety of art pieces on display. Each art piece is creative, and unique qualities that are rare to find in the other pieces of art. One piece of art that stood out to me was “The Entry Of Christ Into Manhattan”, which was created by Edith Lunt Small in 1982. This painting has a lot of bright colors, and a vast amount of things going on. There are angels, jesus, drag queens, peace signs, etc.…

After looking for so long at the two very different pieces of art I understood that there is no way these can be compared. The website Humans of New York by Brandon Stanton is a website where people open themselves to the world to who they are, to how they feel and what do they make of themselves. The photo of the person is there to just go with the story, some visual for others to see. Each story gives a sound of hope for the future no matter what is the present or the past was. These stories can unite people and maybe help readers deal with their personal problems.…

This piece draws to me. I think if it was in color then it would be less defining. It might show color and show the woman lighten up or brighter than it does not when in reality she is far from light. She really is dark and grieving and has no way of showing…

In every romance or drama movie, the boy meets a girl, boy saves the girl (or vice versa), and then they fall in love. We see this scenario repeated in all sorts of media, but also in our own lives. Why do we fall in love? The answer is not always clear, but one thing for certain is that love is important for us as humans. “The lover” figure exists for us because love is something that all of us are ‘supposed’ to find.…
