My second opinion is that Ivy's blindness was an ability on her part because she didn't know what the color red was but she knew of that name and she knew it was fearful. She also didn't have to see her boyfriends blood everywhere after Noah killed him. He killed him because he thought that Ivy and Lucuis's love wasn't good for each other. Another reason it was an ability is because when she went into the woods to see what was bothering everyone, she had a safe color on but she couldn't see that she had mud on herself. And the safe color got covered up and the creature started coming after her. She wasn't able to see it, she didn't get a good look at it so she wasn't that scared. If she was able to see, she would have been more scared, because she would've been able to see how creepy it was. But in the end, the berries turned out to be nothing and the creatures ended up not being real. So on Ivy's part it was an ability for her not being able to
