Symbolism In The Book Skin

In this journal, we will be talking about three objects that symbolize something important, in the book skin the first object would be food, and food impacts these characters a lot it, in this case, it symbolizes the want to be someone else the need to change. Donnie’s older sister, Karen is the one person in his life who he could depend on. But Karen is starting to be eaten away by being devoured in an eating disorder; Donnie is now alone and is trying to help cure Karen of her illness. Karen has started her eating disorder by criticizing her body, she always says she is fat but really, in reality, she is as thin as a piece of paper, but that's not how she sees it and her friend Amanda doesn't see it she feels like Karen shouldn't freak out
