Fahrenheit is a book about a man who’s job is to start fires. Fahrenheit provides an idea of knowledge to the reader. Montag proves that there is more to books than what people think there is. In Fahrenheit 451, the author uses fire as a symbol to make the things that don’t fit into the society disappear
In the first part of the book Montag realizes that the firemen didn’t prevent any fires, they started them. They started the fires to burn books. This society was banned from reading book so the fireman's’ job is to burn them. In the first part of the book the firemen head to a house where there are books hidden in the lady’s attic.
