A Parchment of Leaves, by Silas House, is a novel about a young cherokee girl named Vine marries an irish man Saul, and about Vines story about adapting to this new life. Many familes go through rough times. Like the Sullivan family, and how they stayed together in these times. Two completely different familes join together. Vine, a young Cherokee girl falls in love with young irish man Saul Sullivan. They get enganged and married at a confluence. A confluence is when two different bodies of water crash in together.
