Symbolism In My Coat Of Arms

In my Coat of Arms, I added different colors, and symbols to show who I am. All the symbols displayed show my hobbies, interests, and personality.
First, the background color is blue, my favorite color, because blue represents truth and loyalty. I always stay loyal to my family, friends, school, and God because without them, I wouldn’t be the person I am. For the same reason, I always try to tell them the truth under any circumstance even when it’s a truth I don’t want to say.
In the first section, there’s cross and fish to represent my faith in God. Growing up in a Christian family allowed me to learn more about God and deepen my relationship with Him, which made my faith in God a meaningful part of me. Without God, I would be a completely

My redesign of the Canadian Coat of Arms focuses on what makes Canada the beautiful land of freedom that is it. Firstly, I put the Canadian flag as the biggest flag on my design and on top of it the flags of the four territories of Canada. Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick are the flags overtop of the Canadian flag. The idea of this flag is to show that Canada is multicultural and diverse so the best way I felt I could show that was by putting the world overtop of the Canadian flag. Overtop of the flag is a red cross to show Canada’s aid and mark in helping many places around the world.…

I believe that the divide on what the Confederate flag represents will never be resolved. I don’t see the divide ever being resolved because there are different perspectives. One may view the flag as a symbol that represents the terrible things that happened during the Civil War and inequality, while another might view it as a symbol that represents the Confederate veterans that fought in the war and heritage. Both sides will continue to exist and believe their own personal meaning of the Confederate flag because of influence. Influence has been used in Germany by having students participate in a mandatory visit to a former concentration camp from World War II.…

The color white stands for uniformity, fairness, and liberty for all citizens. The color blue stands for honesty, loyalty, and allegiance. John Phillip Sousa said, “The red and white and starry blue is freedom’s shield and hope.” These are very challenging times in our country and there are uncertainties and attacks on our freedoms that occur way too often. The American flag should always be a visual reminder that we, as Americans, should always make our best efforts to work collectively together to preserve one of our most prized possessions, freedom.…

One of the most recognized Christian symbols is the fish. Greeks, Romans, and many others used the fish symbol before Christians began to use it. Making the fish an excellent choice for symbolism that attracted little suspicion, making it a perfect secret symbol for persecuted believers. The ichthys or ichthus from the Greek ikhthýs (ἰχθύς, "fish") is a symbol containing of two interconnecting arcs that looks a lot like a fish. When I was in kindergarten I used to draw fish like that because it’s easy to draw and every time I see it in a car bumper, necklaces, or in a painting I remember. But the ichthys has a deeper meaning it was adopted as a Christian symbol and now is known as the sign of the fish or the Jesus fish. Before Christianity adopted the fish symbol, it was known and used by pagans as "the Great Mother", and "womb". It was connected to productiveness, birth, and the natural strength of females was recognized also by the Celts, and also in pagan cultures throughout northern Europe.…

During Van Gogh's last years in his life, he painted The Church at Auvers in 1890. Around that time, Vincent suffered from mental illness and some emotional difficulties. Just like his title, Van Gogh's subject is the Church at Auvers. Not only is the church the focal point of the painting, but a woman on the far bottom left walking towards the church looks as if she is somewhat important too. The Church of Auvers painting does not only represent a church and a safe haven to reside, but also captures Van Gogh interpretation of how much he is suffering.…
