Discriminating a person does not define who they are, it defines who you are.¨ For Cassie Logan and her family, they get discriminated all the time by white people because they are black, but it only defines the people who discriminate them. No one should be discriminated because of race, color, or because they are different. In ¨roll of thunder hear my cry¨, Mildred Taylor uses many techniques and goals. She also uses symbolism like the Jefferson Davis school bus to represent discrimination throughout the story.
