Makani- We all know who Makani is. Manki moved from Hawaii, and is now living with her Grandma, who has a problem. She goes to High School with her friends who are Alex, Darby, and Ollie. She doesn’t do sports but she’s not a geek. She is trying to survive this terrible thing that seems to be happening to her school.
The name Makani means wind. The connection I made to this was that people like to get mad at the wind. Like when it makes you slower when you run and also bad things happen, like trees blowing over.

He has pink hair and a piercing. They judge him on his looks and not personality. But when he starts dating Makani she starts to notice who he really is. He protects Makani in a very usual way. Matt, who we will be talking about later bullies him and Manaki has to help with that situation. Oliver symbolizes the olive tree. The olive tree gives peace, similar to how he is trying to show Darby and Alex that he isn’t bad as he looks like. Also how he tries to protect Makani when the killer comes and tries to hurt them. In addition, would it make sense that Oliver symbolizes a tree and Makani means wind, because Oliver tries to help her with telling her that she doesn’t have to be worried about her pictures when she was younger.
Makani’s Family
Mom and Dad-
Her mom and dad sent her away to go help Makani’s grandma. So her mom and dad live on an island and she has to go and in and help her grandma with her problems. My question is, how did she deal with it? Did she yell and throw a fit? Did she run upstairs? ow would you deal with it?
Grandma-
She has a problem. Her problem is when she at night gets up and open doors and walks outside and all of this other stuff. As time went on, it got to the point where she almost killed herself.Therefore, someone had to be there for her so, Makani had to go because her mother and grandmother did not get along.

Haley is the first girl to go. Everyone liked Haley. She is a cheerleader
