The book "Animal Farm" is written by George Orwell which provides a though provoking symbolization of the usage of propaganda. The book starts by introducing a character called Old Major who is a pig and is respected by all the animals. He instigates the farm animals by telling them that the root of their problems is human beings. Every farm animal agrees to the Old Major’s proposition since they all view him as a respectable yet wise man. This creates a drift between the humans and animals, since every farm animal was willing to fight against every possible human. Even after Old Majors death, three pigs who were Napoleon, Squealer and Snowball continue spreading his ideology. And when the pigs win against the humans, Napoleon manipulates and misuses his power. The book indicates how propaganda can influence people.

The animals would have protested but Napoleon was manipulative and the animals did not have time to think about it since they were always hungry and tired. Napoleon became selfish as he got more power for example: when Napoleon named the mill or when he gave himself a medal or when he started trading with the human where the animals did not like it, but he still traded with humans. So this shows Napoleon does not actually care about the animals. In animal farm we see that there is totalitarian state that is controlled by Napoleon for example: when he kills the animals after they confess their crimes or when the animals are hungry and we're still building the mill
