Heroes are people who strive for accomplishments, people who are persistent, and heroes are also people who satisfy some, but not all. Heroes are people that have a need for their accomplishment. The first example is Abraham Lincoln, which Phineas Gurley explains in Lincoln’s death sermon. Gurley claims, “He is dead; but the cause he so ardently loved, so ably, patiently, faithfully represented and defended-not for himself only, not for us only, but for all people in their coming generations...” (SB 68). For example, the first person, or robot, is Baymax from the movie Big Hero 6. He satisfies the group of six heroes during more chill times and intense battles but occasionally, the main character, Hiro gets somber and discouraged. Baymax is there to help support him and always ends up helping Hiro cheer up. Equally important is our president, Donald J. Trump. Once sworn in he started to create new orders. People started to dislike him but he kept on the strong work and started to satisfy more people by his actions for the community. In addition, he can cause a great quantity of people to get mad at times, but can satisfy the people who need the help of him. Lastly is Steve Jobs. He was the man who created the company, Apple. Most people do not know that he did drugs, but the others that do, are disappointed. Yes, many people know him for cunstructing company Apple and are satisfied that it has become such a vast and important company in the world. People also are not satisfied that such a great man “betrayed” the community. At last heroes are the unique people that can satisfy a mass percent of the population but aren’t able to make them all

After reading the essay “Heroism: Why Heroes are Important” by Scott LaBarge once, I went back again and read it a second time. The second time I read it, I looked specifically for the use of rhetorical appeals, and I then began to write my essay. The first thing I did was use my analysis of LaBarge's use of rhetorical appeals to create my thesis statement: “LaBarge effectively uses the rhetorical appeals of ethos, logos, and kairos to convince his audience that heroes are important.” I then looked for specific examples of each appeal I said he used in order to develop support for my thesis.…

He knew the consequent would be going back to slavery, which for him was worse than death.
