In order to maintain and have a relationship, you must have communication as well. Communication is a fundamental in the development of any relationship. The purpose of this paper is to describe an event that you have experienced, and then analyze that very event utilizing two communication theories. For my two theories, I have chosen Symbolic Interaction Theory (SI) and Relational Dialectics (RD). From the two theories, each will be studied in order to describe what the theory being used is. This will be accomplished by identifying the terms and assumptions, with definitions, examples, etc. Upon the completion of the theory studies, we will analyze another piece of information; the conversation that is typed out above.
