Syllabi don't suck.
Going back to school after winter break really sucked in high school. Well, after any break for that matter. But in college, going back to school is a whole lot different.
In college, you essentially get a week off right when the semester starts. The beginning of the semester means syllabus week. Syllabus week does mean you have to show up to class, but if you're lucky, it'll only be for a few minutes. So just pay attention for the ten minutes it takes to go over what will happen in the class, and then you're off scot-free.
Well, unless you wound up with one of those professors who get their kicks by sucking the lives out of their poor pathetic pupils, then you'll be sitting through the whole hour. Even in that case, your professor won't possibly expect you to actually learn anything. There's no way. Well, unless your teacher really is out to get you. It means you're back in your crappy collegiate housing, which can be both a blessing and a curse. Being back at school means you are once again free to lounge around the house at all hours without fearing the wrath of your parents.
