Before Singapore International Airlines (SIA) was implemented. It started off with the name Malayan Airways Limited (MAL), (MAL) started with 3 scheduled flights every week to Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh and Penang. After 5 years, more planes were bought to enable more flights to head out to many other different countries. (Singapore Airlines, 2014). In 1965 is when Singapore gained its independence from Malaysia, both countries decided to joint alliance and control the airline in 1966, renaming it Malaysia-Singapore Airlines (MSA). (Advameg, 2014). Years past and in April 1970 Malaysia decided to start its own domestic and international flights which then MSA has to be equally distributed between Malaysia and Singapore. Its then in June 1972 that Singapore International Airlines (SIA) was formed. SIA is also known for its leader in international air travel. Its marketing strategy “stressed its commitment to passenger comfort and service and established the airline's distinctive group of air hostesses.” (Advameg, 2014). Singapore Airlines is one of the world’s most successful airlines (Securities investors association, 2006).

With constant improvements in technology for the airline, the airline will be able to provide even better services, and by improving the services it is also able to satisfy customers even more. Linking back this will also help boost the economy as more customers would want to travel around, I mean who would not like good service. By having this technology improve the airline systems, people will have even more faith in travelling in the planes as it is more advanced and improved.
