Weak management structure of Microsoft Xbox is one of the reasons that they heading downside. As Steve Ballmer, the CEO of Microsoft stated, the product teams in the organization work independently and had not keep tracks with one another (Duncan 2013). They had to use different ways to solve the same problem. Besides, the teams like to compete among one another which might affect the organization and products in the long run. However, the management team in the organization was aware of these problems where they understand that it is the operation structure that has to be changed.

The teams in Microsoft made rational decision making where they first understand the problems then gather information that is useful in solving them. Mike Howard also said that, once the probability of solving the problem successfully is more than half, leaders have to make decision based on their feelings, which makes them intuitive decision makers.

Xbox One was fouled up with the Kinect controller being removed after taking advice from the public (Forbes 2014). This has caused the leak of privacy problems and ideas of some nice features in the product are stolen. By looking this problem, Microsoft has made fundamental changes in consoles and paced up to anticipate future trends. They understand the problem, analyse on ways to solve it and make necessary changes which conclude this as a good decision making instance.
Bad Decision Making
The rise in Xbox One price is the worst decision that caused it fall far behind PS4. After Xbox One has hit the top selling rates, Microsoft decided to raise its price which upsets the customers and drop in sales (Patrick 2015). The results and negatives comments from gamers have forced Microsoft to drop the price.
