The Gaza Strip
Geography
The Gaza Strip geography has changed several times through the years (see Appendix B). The territory is located in the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea and borders on the southwest with Egypt and with Israel on the east and north (The World Factbook, 2016).
Political and Legal Factors
The Gaza Strip’s governance is carried out by the Hamas Administration. Gaza’s current Prime Minister is Ismail Haniyeh (The World Factbook, 2016).
Economic factor
Israel has imposed restrictive border controls after Hamas seized control of the territory in June 2007. They have produced high unemployment, elevated poverty rates, and a sharp contraction of the private sector, which had relied primarily on

Strengths
World Vision was created in 1950 by Rev. Pierce after a life-changing trip to China, where he met a teacher who introduced him to an abandoned child. He promised the teacher that he would send $5 a month to take care of the abandoned child (World Vision International, 2014). Since then, Rev. Pierce created the first child sponsorship program and after several years, he broadened World Vision’s work to Asia, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe (World Vision International, 2014). World Vision’s mission and vision statement create a goodwill culture within the organization.
With the help of VisionFund International, World Vision employs over 40,000 staff members to help people from around 100 countries (World Vision International, 2014). Opportunities
World Vision’s philanthropic history has a significant potential. World Vision has helped many people throughout the years, providing the organization with great success stories that can be used to improve the organization’s image and goodwill.
Threats
World Vision works on countries around the world that are often in rough shape. This is a threat because unstable countries are constantly fighting against corruption and with many other issues such as poverty, health and education. World Vision might encounter potential issues at the time of working with a government or a situation that might be dangerous.
Also, World Vision is one of the world’s leading humanitarian organizations, this puts them under constant scrutiny (World Vision International Website).
