Truett Cathy did. Also, Dominos is still a popular business today, and mostly known for the location of conveniences for their customers. Unlike Tom Monaghan, Truett Cathy set up Chick-fil-A as a restaurant for people to come and dine. In 1967, Truett Cathy opened Chick-fil-A in a mall to allow conveniences for customers to dine at their restaurant while shopping. This was not only strategic, but a very intelligent decisions. The malls are full of people that spend and hour or more shopping and really do not have time to go home and cook afterwards. Therefore, strategically setting a location of any kind of food service is highly appropriate and can boost revenue.
