SWOT analysis as we all know it is an incredibly simple but also structured, process to evaluate a company’s strategic position when it’s come to planning, by identifying the company’s weaknesses and strengths and comparing these to threats and opportunities in the market. In another way we can define it as a shortcut for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and it is a structured planning method that evaluates those four elements of a project or business plan. A SWOT analysis can be carried out for a company, product, person, industry or place. It involves determine the objective of the business venture or project and identifying the external and internal factors that are unfavorable and favorable to achieve that objective. In this essay I will discuss the four elements in SWOT analysis for Arab Open University Lebanese branch and at some point I will include badaro branch .( Nigel Piercy, William Giles, (1989) "Making SWOT Analysis …show more content…
If we’re going to talk about Arab Open University’s weaknesses there isn’t so much things to mention, in my opinion there is only three. First one AOU has only two branches in Lebanon which can make it hard for people who live away from the two branches to choose specially this university. The second one is that it doesn’t have too many majors. For me I wanted to join this college specially but I didn’t get the chance to study the major that I love because it isn’t available at AOU. And the third one is that it doesn’t support the freshman program. For example students who they didn’t passed their official exam they can continue their studies in a different part named freshman. This opportunity it is not included in Arab Open University so students who would like to attend this university will think to another
