Staying connected has become a new way of life. More and more of the world’s population is turning to online to connect with loved ones; complete shopping errands; and find their entertainment. CanGo has found itself in unique situation where the company can provide all these areas to its customers. According to historical data and trend predictions, the online gaming industry is a booming industry. With the addition of mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets online gaming has become much more accessible. (Lofgren, 2015)

Let’s look at one of our online gaming competitors, Big Fish Gaming. It is one of the largest (if not the largest) gaming producers and distributors of casual gaming in the world. Their portfolio consists of over 450

The online gaming user is changing every year. Starting with America, over half of the population, (59 percent) plays video games. The average user in 2015 is 31years old. This is a year older than last year. There are actually more users over the age of 50 than there are at the age of 18. (Lofgren, 2015)

Women video game players are also increasing in the market. As of now there are almost as many women as men playing online video games; 52% are male users while women make up the other 48%. Within one year the percentage of women users went from 47% to 48%. However, in some countries like the UK, female users outnumber the male users 52% to 48%. The reason for these increases can be contributed to casual gaming such as: word, puzzle, and trivia being offered on mobile devices. (Lofgren, 2015)

In addition to these statistics, the online gaming user that spends the most money is between 35 to 45 years old. On average these users spend approximately $6.00 a month on gaming.
