Asset simulation model is a less proactive approach but it gives reliable information on how the physical assets should be dealt with respect to purchase, refurbishment and reutilisation. That is, it predicts the monetary consequences of maintenance and renewal strategies for physical assets (Schneider et al, 2006). The APM model was used in making the refurbishment or replacement decisions that is if the cost of refurbishment exceeds the costs of replacement then the team is labeled as purchase new. Excess furniture or the furniture that cannot be used under any circumstances is marked as “disposable”.

With rapid rate of change in technological developments and advancements in complex systems it is obviously critical for ergonomics in technology context. However, the changes should be made by considering the parallel generations of low and high technology, and improving safer workplaces is far more important than PC interfaces. The health and safety regulation at workplace across the world in conjunction with the rise in civil claims for compensation for health and injury problems at work has pushed the demand for ergonomics which shows the legal importance for implementing it. From organisational prospective, the changes in structures of an organisation partly relate to the changes in technology. These technological advancements are increasing the interests in virtual organisations or virtual work, that is more and more people like to work from a place in which they feel more flexible (home) rather than travelling to a place and work, hence it is important to facilitate flexibility at workplace.
