How do you feel about Swing and Jazz? Well even if you have never heard of them or don't like them , there were many people in the 30’s and 40’s that were interested in this type of music. Nowadays people think it's the music that old people listen to, but it's got a sweet rhythm. Jazz was popular before swing, but musicians like Benny Goodman mixed Swing and Jazz. Both genres are part of an important part of time because they were popular during the Holocaust. Here are facts for both Swing and Jazz.
First, we will talk about swing music. Swing comes from the term “swing feel”. If that doesn't sound familiar the 30s is also known as the “Swing Era”. Swing Jazz has been tracked down to jazz historians like Chick Webb who played in Harlem in the year 1931. Sadly the music failed due to the depression of 1931 which killed night club business, mostly places like Harlem.
