A swimming cap, swim cap or bathing cap, is a tightly fitted, skin tight garment, commonly made from silicone, latex or lycra, worn on the head by recreational and competitive swimmers (Trails, 2016). Swimming Caps have been used ever since it had been invented in the early 1883, where swim caps were made of rubberized fabric furthermore women wore rubber swim cap as a fashion statement.(Trails, 2016). By the 1920s swim caps were made of latex, latex is a milky fluid found in many plants, such as poppies and spurges, which exudes when the plant is cut and coagulates on exposure to the air.
