He gave us a riddle and if we cannot solve it, we’ll be cursed and he and Vaughn Hart will rule the kingdom,” Harry begged the woman. She had agreed to help him as long as he promised to be a righteous ruler. Harry would comply with her wishes for the rest of his life. Harry left, following the woman’s instructions, he had planned to go back to the woods before dark and solve the riddle. When he returned home, he rejoiced for he would be able to save himself and the kingdom from destruction. “Alexa, I have found a way to solve the riddle! The old woman who had helped the Miller’s Daughter escape the cannibalistic murders’ home is going to help us solve the riddle,” Harrison exclaimed.
Just before dark, he went back to the woods where he had before met the Old Lady. He knew she had the answer, for she was a truthful person. Although she told stories of faraway lands, adventures with compelling characters and an unexpected ending, she was very underappreciated. Over the 17 years, Tally went through garage sales, bookstores, and libraries, all to be left on the counter waiting for someone new to take her. Tally was a large red book that had a long pen mark down the middle of her cover, her insides had small rips and tears, and creases that most didn’t like.…

What matters is the part we choose to act on, that's who we really are.” Often we can identify the moral values of a person through the sacrifices they make. Throughout J.K Rowling's Harry Potter series it is apparent how important sacrifice is throughout the progression of the novels. The film Dirty Harry shows us a cop willing and preferring to go against protocol and standard professional procedure to fight crime and in doing so causes crimes of his own as well as unneeded damages and cruelty even causing the main antagonist to go free from convictions in his initial crimes. Law conflicts with order in this film by having Harry break the law numerous times attempting to stop a criminal from causing arguably greater crimes from occurring to little avail as the hostage as well as three people had still been killed by the antagonist prompting the idea that Dirty Harry really isn’t a great officer and is rather not fitted for the role of such. In the end Harry kills the antagonist rather then turn him in then proceeds to throw…

In the novel Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, J.K. Rowling uses characterization to show the amount of loyalty that several of the characters have towards Harry Potter, and to prove that sometimes friends, even those thought to be enemies, can sometimes be more loyal than one’s own blood. J.K. Rowling shows the loyalty that Harry Potter’s friends have towards him through characters like Albus Dumbledore, Ron Weasley, and Dobby. Rowling also shows that even those who are understood to be Harry’s enemies, like Severus Snape, Peter Pettigrew, and Narcissa Malfoy, actually turn out to have been loyal to him in the end. On the other hand, however, J.K. Rowling shows that family, those that one would expect to be the most loyal, can sometimes…

Ordinary World Harry Potter’s ordinary world is his home of number four Privet Drive with the Dursleys. When he crosses the threshold into the wizarding world, the contrasts between the two realms are drastic. “It’s a good idea for writers to make the Ordinary World as different as possible from the Special World, so audience and hero will experience a dramatic change when the threshold is finally crossed”, and it is (Vogler 87). Privet Drive was a dull and miserable existence for Harry. He was without friends, was shown no love, was given little to eat, and he experienced very little happiness throughout his time there.…
