1. While reading this story Richard Quitadomo failed to be more descriptive. He did not elaborate on the good quotes he observed in Swedas work. Passage gives a general idea about the actions and activities of the anti tobacco group but fails to give specific actions and even attitudes of the people in authority at the said period.There is the need for more information addressing how TPLP and Sweda were trying to battle the tobacco industry from rising and also how they were trying to prevent cigarettes smoking amongst the youth. Though it was mentioned by him sweda that the youth were their priority he failed to state how they were making smoking unattractive to them. The dominant impression of Sweda was he was a strong proponent against cigarette smoking. He hated smoking, and he thought it was disgusting because he knew it could have a huge impact on his health if he tried it. Consequently speaking, given what I read Sweda happens to be a man of dignity, morals, and integrity. Theres no doubt, he cares so much about his health hence him making mention of how cigratte can affect a persons health. So Sweda character and morals and integrity is defined because he took the initiative to align himself with the TPLP in order to combat the tobacco industry. And According to (page 3), Sweda seem to care about the youth and hopes that smoking won’t increase in their generation compare to the older generation. This is specified in (page 3) when he goes on to further state, that by focusing on the youth we are taking away the customers of the future. Which is important because the older generation will eventually die off and then the tobacco industry will no longer have new people to partake in smoking. My impression Quatadamo’s goals portrays Sweda as a man genuinely interest in the wellbeing of future generations and their health. He is not just working to save just the youth but also generations yet unborn from the trouble smoking brings to the individual, family and lineages.
