Suzie’s Data Suzie a nine years old girl studying in third grade is the one who is going to be observed and assessed though the data gathered. She ha s stable life at home as she lives with her parents. She also has a sibling who is younger to her and studies at the first grade. She has an extra advantage that both her parents are educated. It enables her parents to assist and cooperate with Suzie’s school staff for helping Suzie in her studies. Like all young girls the things in which a girl always takes interest is the dolls. She loves playing with dolls. She is also interested in extra-curricular activities and she has joined gymnastic classes. She is very punctual in her attendance and has never missed a class. Not only in her studies but she also has a great behavioral characteristics. The way she interacts and cooperates with her class mates and respects her teachers, is reflected in her grades too. The good performance of Suzie in the tests shows that she has got everything going smooth and normal in her life outside the school. It has often been seen that the students not only face problems in the school, and their grades and performance are sometimes affected by the scenario they face outside the school, may be in the house or in the neighborhood where they live. Suzie does not have such kind of a disturbing impact on her studies. In addition, the act which has been really helpful for Suzie is that both her parents are educated. Therefore, they understand the importance of being educated and also are good in solving the problems and improving the weak areas in the students. Educated parents are at a comfort zone when they need to collaborate, meet and assist the teachers to understand their child and make him work even better (Davis-Kean, 2005). Ultimately she is able to achieve good grades in most of the subjects she has appeared in so far. A low grade in science is nothing to worry about as she might have not been able to study for the specific exam or there might be some complex topics which she did not understand and needs more clarification from the teacher. Suzie is also a very good example of a student who understands the importance of being good in physical activities as it also helps to excel in the academics. It is believed that a healthy body has a healthy brain. She is a true example of that. She is very interested in gymnastic classes and has been doing well there too. She is one of the all round performers of the school so far. The reasons and factors which make her perform so good in school are mostly related to her life at home. She is getting proper attention and adequate amount of time and assistance to overcome the problems she might face in her studies. Her parents are with her all the time and it is a great source of getting extra help and advice for a child of such a young age. If the family is around the child all the time, the kid feels confident and secure. A student with a peaceful and normal atmosphere at home is likely to excel in studies and life as they grow up.
