Suzanne Collins is my favorite author. She wrote The Hunger Games trilogy, Gregor the Overlander books, as well as some other children's books. Although you might not like futuristic writing, Suzanne Collins is a great author because gives a great action packed dystopian story, that inspires you to make a difference, and connects to audience through unbelievable metaphors. I remember reading The Hunger Games for as long as I possibly could. I would go to school the next day sleep deprived because I was up all night reading. A selfish government is developed and 13 districts are formed along with a capital. A country-wide fight to the death consisting of two volunteers from each district is the capitals way of keeping a functioning country. The main character Katniss Everdeen is chosen for the games in the midst of attempting to bring down the capital. This amazing story board shaped by Collins shows symbolism and reflects Collins’ life, problems, and concerns.
