Visual media only reveals what the camera ensnares within any visual media. It can crop or excise what one doesn't want you to see and that defeats the whole purpose of even there being a such thing as photography. For example, a photograph took by a famous photographer named Steve McCurry, had did major edit to his photo of the “Afghan Girl” which would only reveal the good essentials that everyone would be amused by. The world is so lazy and only accepts the images as they see them and don't fully comprehend the purpose behind the images. Media also doesn't reveal the true ethicalness of it all so you won't actually know how to feel or revive a photo or video. Media also does not express all the emotions and feelings that are entangled within it.
In conclusion, I firmly agree with Susan Sontag's position that photography limits our visual and intellectual understanding of the world. The visual media limits our understanding and puts restraints and does not reveal anything but what is exhibited. There is so much more to explore than what a simple photo or video in the media has to quotient with you, we shouldn't limit ourselves to only what we are shown and accept it but dig deeper to find the true morality of it
